The Right Gun Night Sight For The Job?
The Right Night Sight
I generally have night sights on my handguns. Some people claim to have their favorite tritium sights (i.e. Trijicon, Truglo, XS, Meprolight, and Ameriglo) but I find little difference between them. I have the factory night sights (Meprolight) on my Glocks. Night Sights AmeriGlo GL-113 Classic Style Night Sights (Green/Green) Heinie Specialty Products #318 Glock SlantPro Straight Eight Night Sight Set Meprolight ML-10225 Tru-Dot Tritium Night Sights (Green/Green) Novak SDCR11g Glock Tritium Night Dots Set PT Night Sights Tactical Glock Tritium 2-Dot Night Sights (Green/Green) Trijicon GL01 3 Dot Green Front & Green Rear Night Sight Set Trijicon GL11 3 Dot Green Front & Green Novak Rear Night Sight Set Wilson Combat 463TG Tactical Combat Tritium Night Sights XS Sight Systems GL-0001S-5 Big Dot 24/7 Express Tritium Night Sights XS Sight Systems GL-0001S-6 Standard Dot 24/7 Express Tritium Night Sights I recently went with some cheap glue on nitesiter Photo Luminescent Laminate Dots for my beater truck gun C9 Hi-Points. I always do everything cheap with these truck guns including making rubber grips out of old bicycle tire tubes rather than buying Hogue or Butler Creek slip on grips. The stick on dots are pretty good considering they cost about a tenth as much as the tritium sights. So far they work very good and are a viable alternative. I just didnt see the point in spending more on accessories than I did for the guns (about a C note each). http://www.nitesiters.com/?gclid=CN-...FSIYkgodqCVVpA Another alternative is that I have been toying with the idea of using Super-Luminova paste. However, because it is water-soluble I would have to find some epoxy or sealant to encapsulate it once applied to the sights. This looks like it has some interesting possibilities. I still havent thought through all the bugs on this one yet. It should be better than the luminous paints on the market. http://www.ofrei.com/page737.html I dont care for external lasers and lights on my handguns. I did see an interesting internal laser that I picked up for my CCW Glocks, although I generally dont turn them on very often except to compare shots at the range. They have more an intimidation factor which is perhaps preferable than having to put down some subhuman and take on all the legal mess. I did add uni-green lasers to a couple of AKs for fun and some urban rifle sport at the club. The green laser is great for daytime but is too visible in the dark and works as a reverse tracer that can be bad news if there is a BG around. http://www.lasermax.com/ Overall, I will stick with the Meprolight sights for my CCW, OC and stashed guns I have placed around the house. However, my beater guns I will keep looking at cheap alternatives for fun. I did add internal lasermaxs on my CCW Glock 26 and Glock 19, and green uni-green to a couple rifles. Anyone else with preferences of comments on gun sights/lasers? - Black Blade |

Crimson Trace lasergrips are beyond good.We have them on 2 autos and 1 revolver and folks don't even want to shoot bowling pins with you after you get them.:ARMS1::emotions16:
